Ming Wei Neo | #MusicMonday

#MusicMondays and #FeatureFridays are so much fun for me because I finally get to share a bunch of things that I like (that you may or may not know about). The coolest ones are the people that I personally know, and that's what I'm doing today. Sharing about one of my "big sisters" from Singapore, Ming Wei Neo!!

She's so sweet.

I've known Ming Wei for a really long time. She came around the time I started college (or uni, for my fellow Singaporeans that may be reading this) and graduated in 2012. Here we are in 2017 and it's like nothing's changed (I feel like I'm saying this a lot, but summer is the season of reunions, no? haha XD).

She's released 2 CDs, the first one was a Christian worship music cover CD + 2 originals written by her (talent, right?!) and the second CD was a commission from a company for her to make soothing music for their clients to listen to when they came in for counseling sessions (or something to that extent).

There's just something anointedly (that's not a word, but you get the point) calming about her music. I don't know if it's the combination of the chords that she's playing or how she has the song structured, but if you're stressed and need a good CD to have playing in the background while you unwind with a hot bath, a good book, or a cup of your favorite whatever (hopefully not all at the same time. NO BOOKS IN THE WATER!!)...Ming Wei is a REALLY good choice.

For my fellow Christians, it's also good quiet time or devotion time music. 
You can listen to this and feel your mind slowly winding down to focus on the Word, enjoy the music, but also appreciate how NOT DISTRACTING it is as you turn your attention solely on Jesus and what He has to share with you that day.

Ming Wei was also super generous in letter me utilize both of her CDs to create a special edition for me to sell in the TZArtisan shop for some extra funds. We've titled it Neo's Serenity. I made the cover art for it pictured here. 

Unfortunately (because I am poor), we're only selling it as a digital download. :(
